Unofficial Bug Thread for: Progression Feature
Spaceguy911 replied to topic's Spaceguy911 in Archives
Okay, so I'll start here. I am running a true progression from a brand new char. I will add to this list as I continue using the Progression Feature. I am keeping a log of everything I notice as I watch this bot for a brief period of time. Most things are minor changes or suggestions. If I notice anything of immediate importance I will highlight red, and feature suggestions I think are valuable will be highlighted green. "Strikethrough" text is either fixed/added/or inaccurate feedback on my part. Added as of 10-01-2015: Bot does not pick up the starting weapon. Bot does not kill the first monster to pick up the gem. Bot does not socket the first gem (I don't think this is too important, as manually killing Hillock doesn't require much effort) It would be cool if the bot would go to Tidal Island to collect a QS Flask and equip it. Again, this is a long-term priority, and is not crucial to the progression feature. Bot does not automatically allocate skill points. Users could path out their tree on the poe.com/passivetree and upload that into the bot's exe somehow? During Mud Flats quest, my bot clicked Fetid Pool (not sure if that was a misclick or intended but he did zone into the Fetid Pool). The bot recognized he was in the wrong zone, and went back to the Mud Flats. The problem here, is that he created a new zone. Not a big deal. Upon questing in the Mud Flats, my bot chickened due to low HP. He relogged, joining the Town. He went to The Coast, and proceeded to look for Mud Flats. Instead of going towards the Mud Flats, he went towards the Town's direction, clearing the entire Coast again. Bot does not pickup Flasks. The bot should pick up and replace flasks if a better one falls. In the .exe's "Flask" tab, the player may need to identify which Flask is what (e.g. "health", "mana", "utility". Utility flasks of course will not be replaced, but could be equipped if dropped) - Alk would of course need to add this to the .exe, it doesn't currently exist. For safer progression, a feature should be added to "progress when player is X levels above next zone". This feature would allow the player to farm a previous/current zone before going to the next one underleveled. This will ensure the bot does not move too quickly, and begin entering zones that are at or close to it's level. It's okay to be ~6 levels behind your zone. It will be more efficient in the long-run, especially on Cruel and Merci difficulties. Added as of 10-02-2015: If the bot chickens a zone enough times so that the Instance list is full (when trying to reenter that zone), the bot will not click the "down arrow" to get to the "New" instance option Added as of 10-04-2015: Upon entering the second instance of Upper Prison (the winding zone which leads to Brutus), the bot tries going North (which is the corner of the room), and will eventually chicken due to idle time. This is an important one. Bot will not enter Merveil's Lair from Cavern of Anger. Bot will stop attacking Merveil under certain conditions when she teleports too far away from the bot (from one side of the room to the other -- I have only witnessed this in Phase 1 so far) Bot quits on immediate kill of Merveil (not registering that Southern Forest waypoint is attained). -
[source https://exiled-bot.net/community/index.php/topic/5802-052d-progression-issue/ ] I bolded + underlined. Sup guys. Okay, per Alk's request, I think it is wise that we have one central location for us to report any feedback (positive or negative), and bugs in particular. Personally, I am running my first trials with the progression bot now. I started researching existing bugs on this forum (didn't find many posted), and came across the above quote from Alk. I feel that if Exiled-Bot can successfully incorporate a Progression feature, this will truly be an "all in one" bot. As mentioned, I am running the Progression for the first time tonight. I will continue to post my feedback/thoughts/bugs/concerns/suggestions/ideas/etc., and I strongly encourage you to do the same. Alk has a history of listening to his customer base, so have at it.

will div cards be picked up by default, or will this be something that will have to be manually entered into the user's pickit file? If we have to enter it, what would the "class"/command be?
-
I remember in some previous patches, I would check back to wait for New Release, but it was still being updated. At some point I read that an older version of the bot was working. Will the community managers or someone make an announcement of which/how/when the not will be working for the upcoming Expansion? If so, where should I look for this update? Thanks

i do have an ssd. so you're suggesting upping the memory to 1550, to start?
-
With all due respect, I didn't answer my own question, because my question is: what do i need to do to improve performance given the issues I'm having? Period. I spoke in my comment about memory, you spoke about ram. Are they the same thing? I'm not sure. According to settings I just looked up, I have 10 gb of space allocated, 2 processors, and 1024 "something" of memory. So I will repeat my question: Is there something on those settings that you would recommend I change? and if so, to what?

my PoE on my VM sometimes crashes due to memory issues. I've actually died a few times too, to what seems like slow responses on the VM. My bot NEVER dies when I run the bot off my main computer, like at night. What's the discrepancy here causing my main machine to run much smoother and have faster responses than my VM? Is it memory? My VM has 1024 MB right now. If it is likely a memory issue, is there a number that maybe I should slightly increase that to? The reason this is so important to me is because I play in the HC league. And when I get to end-game map-like content to bot, my bot will rip on my VM. But with all Autopot and Exiled Bot settings being equal, I do not die when botting off my main computer. So it has come to the point where, when my character reaches end-game content, I can only bot off my main computer when I'm not using it, like at night. When in reality, I want the bot to be running nearly 24/7, or at least at certain times while I'm using the computer during the day. Thanks.

Hey. ill come back to check on the bot in maybe 20 runs, and either PoE is black screened, or there's an error message. Or EB has closed. It only happens in my VM. Is this a common issue? How can I fix it, because currently botting is not possible. And my lvl 88 Bloodlines bot (that I used to run on my main OS at night and during work) just ripped on my VM, because of this freezing/crashing that's happening. I likely have enough ram/memory to run 2 bots. I believe this happens even during 1 bot. i have i5 2500k intel nvidea gtx 560 8gb ram Samsung SSD

Hey--thanks. So, I've been using this bot without any issue for the past ~20 updates. Ever since the "hide the bot" option came out, I haven't been able to get it to work. Now it just won't work at all. I did a fresh reinstall. I run bot as Admin. The only two options I have to embed (unless it's chrome I'm embedding in, or something), is NVBackend.exe, and my VPN.exe. I suppose I also have an option to hide the bot in my Pot Script. I've tried all. The bot will load. But when I click Start Bot, my cursor clicks on PoE but doesn't do anything. I don't actually see my cursor move on my screen. I just know that PoE is selected because the color scheme on my computer changes and shows that PoE is highlighted. Also, I use confine mouse to window setting, and I cant click outside of PoE, so I know my mouse is actually inside of the PoE and something is happening. I have to tab-alt, and quickly push "Stop Bot" in order to regain control of my mouse. So something is definitely happening, although my character is not moving even a foot in game. Edit: I just ran a test by Starting Bot at login screen. Again, it takes control of PoE window, but doesn't actually click anything. It doesn't log in. If I deselect PoE.exe as active window, the bot selects is almost immediately as active window. So it wants to take control of PoE and do something, but it's being prevented and I'm not sure by what. Edit2: I just coincidentially bought an SSD and did a fresh OS install on my SSD, but I was having this problem a day or two ago with all my settings. Let me just confirm here that I have everything. I have Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64, as I am running win 64 bit. I have Direct X End-User Runtimes. And I believe that's all that is needed.

This problem has to do with embedding the bot in other programs. It's fubar. I click Start and nothing actually happens to the bot. My mouse is definitely selecting the PoE window, because PoE becomes active, but it doens't click around, login, or move the character even. ?? using win 7...

First of all, if I close the .exe, I cannot hide it in the same .exe that is already running. If i choose the same one, the EB.exe does not load. Also, when I press "Start", it doesn't even engage the character. Beef?

Hey. In maps, I sometimes chicken due to HP. I bot on HC so my chicken thresholds are a little more sensitive than your standard bot, I would imagine. I run Gurud's Multiscript as my priority chicken utility. Anyway, so if and when I chicken, my bot rejoins the game, and then rejoins the same map, which is fine I guess. The problem is, he doesn't recast the auras. I can't be the only one that is chickening and not having the auras recast. What am I doing wrong? I do have auras selected on the skill section of the bot. It is casting them properly upon logon and I believe when a new map goes up.

Hey---not to be elementary, but I did just start mapping (or trying to). For now, since I play hardcore, I just want the bot to run white Tropical Island maps. I have a bunch of maps in my chest, and the bot just picks the top one, which happens to be Dried Lake. I first tried turning on [ignoreMap] == "true" for every single map name except Tropical Island. It still pulled the Dried Lake from my stash. Now my pickit looks like this and it's still pulling Dried Lake. I have the right IPD profiler in my EB.exe. I have tried restarting the application, etc. Making sure I'm saving the script, etc. Thoughts? Thx [Type] == "Tropical Island Map" # [RunMap] == "true" // Ignore unique maps [Rarity] == "Unique" # [IgnoreMap] == "true" [Rarity] == "Rare" # [IgnoreMap] == "true" [Rarity] == "Magic" # [IgnoreMap] == "true" // [Rarity] == "Normal" # [IgnoreMap] == "true" I even add this, and it still pulls white dried lake map. How fucking irritating... [Type] == "Dried Lake Map" # [IgnoreMap] == "true"

has this been included yet?

[Better Strongbox] - Using Currency and Improving Open Rates
Omegabare replied to topic's Spaceguy911 in Exiled Bot Feature Request
Yes you need an ignore list. I don't care how OP your char is. A bad rng, spawn size, and suffix such as detonate dead, can and will kill your character. Trust me... -
This is what I just logged in to post. Yes we need this. Given the recent findings from the reverse engineering, if you will, I personally will not be running the bot until it is implemented. What might be nice for less computer savvy guys like myself, would be a simple guide: You need to change process names x y and z and this is where you go to do it. Do not do the following because it will write memory, etc.

I want to open boxes but I often rip to them. Ps I play hardcore. So I often find that my bot will rip shortly after turning on "open boxes". I think it would be helpful for all if the bot could ID then decide. It's the super nukey stuff that rips bots, like ice nova and especially detonate dead

For the record. What setting will cause force a timeout? When max runtime or chicken hp is reached?
-
I second this request.

I'm LVL 81 and pretty much gaining no exp in my Merci docks runs, which is fine. I'm not botting to level up a fucking robot. Anyway, I feel I'm getting minimal drops. How significant is the drop penalty, and how do you guys combat it? I recently upgraded to catacombs, and honestly, I think the drops are worse per hour, only because my bot keeps chickening. I play bloodlines so my chicken settings are quite sensitive. Dying because I pushed the envelope isn't cool with me. Anyway, I,m getting worried that my drops are starting to suck and will only get worse. Do I need to remake a character?... Thoughts?

Thanks. That thread wasn't too helpful for what I'm looking for though.

Hey - I always run docks because I play hoc and it's just not worth it to rip and have to re-power level/rush etc... I had 3 bots last league and they all ripped in catacombs. Some hard hitting shit in there though, and desync prone. I'm currently LVL 81+ and getting practically zero exp from docks. It's the items that I care about but it would be nice to up the ante and try for some higher tier items in maps. I think I can probably do some easy, open zone 66's. I am a Flicker build. The real question is, HOW do you so maps. Do they have to be in a certain position in my stash? Do they have to be prerolled. If not, how do I avoid playing certain mods like Blood Magic? Thanks

Hey. Has anyone added any relevant uniques for 1.3 yet? Could you just paste those additions here so I can copy them into my picket . I'm not good at figuring out which uniques are valuable. Thx to anyone in advance

Hey--I'm going to be out of town for like 10 days. Is there a way to stagger the bot so that he will only run maybe 8-12 hours a day, instead of 24/7? Some people here may disagree and say that they run 24/7 and haven't been banned. Well that's cute, but I've been banned a lot, and finally got a fresh IP and am just playing VERY conservative. Running the bot 24/7 only to come home from vaca and see a ban notification, is not worth it to me. Let me know if there's a way to do this, because I do see an option where the bot can "change accounts" after x amount of runs. Hoping there's some creative way I can accomplish this. Thanks!
