Rubiks 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2017 So I downloaded the PoE client separate from the steam client. I was wondering do I need to use a VPN or Virtual machine? And how do I go about doing that?
Imnoob 3 Report post Posted February 5, 2017 Ah up to you. I don't know the benefits of either of those... I've been botting for a couple of years now on my main account and I've never been banned. Just interact with players when you don't bot on your account, and don't bot ridiculous amounts of time in a short period of time and you'll be fine.

One account I leveled manually and botted on almost 24/7 for 9 days was banned, and now I am too lazy to level another character so I am tempted to just bot on my main. Interested in seeing how long you can bot safely when player interaction is mixed in

One account I leveled manually and botted on almost 24/7 for 9 days was banned, and now I am too lazy to level another character so I am tempted to just bot on my main. Interested in seeing how long you can bot safely when player interaction is mixed in I usually bot probably a minimum of 8 hours everyday throughout the night. Then I play a bit during the day, and probably bot 2 more hours or so when i'm doing errands. So overall i probably bot for 10+ hours everyday and i myself play maybe 2-3 hours. I would consider anything over 16ish pretty extensive. If i spend a ton of time botting in 1 day, like 16 hours or so, then I don't bot the next day. But as far as I've seen on the banning threads and whatnot, that's more than most. Seems people play less time and still get banned. I think player interaction makes all the difference. Selling things on poe.trade, global chat when you're farming maps, do some end game stuff, leave your account AFK over night, and maybe some premium tabs... Those are the things that I've done and I've botted on my main account close to 2 years and no problems at all. ( still get worred when the bot gets stuck in a loop tho haha ) Overall just make it look like you're an addicted player haha

Maps would probably seem more realistic but dried lake is much better for generating currency it seems like for me atleast.
Imnoob 3 Report post Posted February 7, 2017 Do you suggest using dried lake or maps? Maps would probably seem more realistic but dried lake is much better for generating currency it seems like for me atleast. Maps for sure! It's much safer, and you'll make more.I have my bot set to unid chaos recipe, pick all the rest of the rares and sell for orbs and shards if they don't fall within the pickit parameters. Just make sure to alc every map and you'll get a good return. Also, in the pickit for the rare section, basically take every thing they have set for the restrictions, like 400dps weapons, and lower everything down a notch, to like 350, or 300 dps. The pickit is set up by default to pick the best of the best rares so you don't run out of space. I find that with the default settings I almost never find rares that are that good. I prefer to get a bunch of medicore rares and sell them for 10-20c. I bot on my main, so space isn't an issue for me. Aslo, once you get to botting higher tearm maps, after t5 or so, i would use the jpick forcesell pickit. Lower the rare restriction like usual. But, this pickit only picks up the top tier item bases. This results in better rares, lest time picking up rares and selling them, and completing the whole map before you run out of portals. If you have good clear speed this is by far the best option. You'll probably get less alt orbs, but over the night you'll probably run 15+ more map than you normally would. Which, means less alts from selling so much junk, but better chance of getting exalts and raw currency drops
