yamahath888 1 Report post Posted December 20, 2015 My current build is only capable of running 1 Poe bot, it couldn't handle more poe window as running Vmware itself consumes almost 100% of cpu and rams. I have been using this build for almost 7 years with my other 2 laptops and now I think it's time to build a new one. ****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** I've heard a lot of guys in this forum talking about AMD that it's better than intel as it has more cores and threads capable of doing multitasking. But what about this Intel cpu? http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-5960X-vs-AMD-FX-9590 The stats seem to be better, more threads, more L3 Caches, less energy consumption, less temperature so I don't end up living under a bridge after running AMD 24/7 all year round. A random guy from the internet just recommended me with this 5960X build. Intel Core i7-5960X Extreme Edition 3.50 GHz 8 Cores/16 ThreadsASUS X99-DELUXE USB 3.1Leadtek GTX980 Ti REFG.SKILL Ripjaws 4 32GRK 3000(8GBx4) x2 64GBSamsung 950 PRO M.2 2280 512GBSeagate 2TB sata3SuperFlower Leadex Platinum 750W (May be SuperFlower Leadex Platinum 1000W?) This would cost me about 3,000 bucks in my country. I really want to know if it's worth it if I buy it at this moment or should I wait for few months for intel Cannonlake instead(I don't know if it's going to be more expensive than 5960x though)? Or maybe should I split into 2 or 3 PCs with AMD build (UPs and led monitors are excluded) mainly for botting? What's the best option for me right now? SupZerg 99 Report post Posted December 20, 2015 (edited) >should I wait for few months for intel Cannonlake instead You meant 1.5-2 years? Cause Cannonlake doesn't come earlier. It's planned for the second half of 2017. Edited December 20, 2015 by SupZerg
dynastyo 151 Report post Posted December 20, 2015 How much do u pay for energy in ur country? (Cause u thought about amd instead of intel) How many bots do u plan to run? This machine looks like a full time job oO On paper it should run a lot of bots. U will lack in ssd space, no hdd needed at all. Imo its not worth it to spend that much on 1 machine. U can get about 4 xeon/i7 setups for that money. Vmware does not make use of ur gfx card. I ran 7 bots with i7 3770 integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000. no additional gfx card at all. yamahath888 1 Report post Posted December 20, 2015 I expect to run more than 20 exiled bots at minimum. (I've seen a guy in this forum that could run over 20+ bots with I7 and 64gb rams.) the more is better though. I'm living with my brothers. We spend around $120-$138 for monthly electricity bills. So, I'm a little concern about electricity bills, the more pc running 24/7, the more we have to pay. So I don't need a graphic card for vmware windows right? But would that affect the performance on my main desktop?
