Bot starts using default attack when close enemies

I'm trying to use double incinerate totems for my build. Using the following settings:

 

Kite mode: yes

Kite range: 30

Kite delay: 300

Attack range: 60

Safe range: 30

 

Skill using middle and right button (same setting except 1000 ms cooldown diff):

Max distance: 100

Min distance: 1

Min monster required in range: 0

Min monster required range: 0

 

Problem. The bot drops the damn totems only when the enemies get quite close and if the enemies get too close, he just starts bashing the enemy with the default attack -> RIP.

 

I need the bot to drop the totems as soon as an enemy is getting close and most of all I would like the bot to drop the totem even if the enemy got really close. I was under the impression that the Max Distance setting did just that but obviously not.
