Noobquestions about Zones and Resistance

Huhu!

I would say im new to POE. Not long playing. I have a questions about following zones:

 

- Docks

- The Library

- City of Sarn

 

Which resistance should be used in these zones? 

I can run up to 4 Auras and sometimes i dont know which to choose or to choose 2 defensive auras or 3 offensive.

 

And another questions: If in docks some Mobs have resistance to Fire - doest that mean that my fire damage is damaging 0 or is it the same system like the characters in POE - that the damage is a lot reducted

city of sarn u don't really need resistance. Maybe a bit of lightening.

But normally if u hit merc, ur resist is maxed if u have a bit decent gear.

for library and docks u better max cold and fire.

 

Don't forget armor is important 2.

 

if mobs have fire resist ur fire damage is reduced its not 0.
