I'm not sure how easy it would be to code, but I think many users would enjoy a check box to use the Portal gem instead of a scroll, perhaps with a programmable key, or it could be applied to the Skills tab within EB, in a way similar to "Is Aura". Just an idea

same issue. my logs are identical EDIT: removing alchemy shards corrected the issue (i read the entire first post -.-)
