You won't get much effect from any class with just 2 Ascendancy points. Hierophant with Pursuit of Faith for easy passive increase to totem damage sounds like the best use of 2 points. Or Shaper of Desolation as Witch. It'd definitely be worth getting 4 points as Chieftain to get the Tukohama node which helps to keep mobs off you. Maybe pay for a cruel lab rush? It should only be a few chaos at most.
